Kinect scanning cards for TCG Video Games

Do you think that using the Kinect as a scanner for your TCG Card Collection to be used in the TCG Video games is a good idea?

.........

Let's say a new Yu-Gi-Oh! video game just comes out that uses this function. Do you think that this would be unfair towards those who have to unlock the cards by grinding through the game while people with the actual cards can simply scan them in to build
their decks immediately?

In theory, any TCG Game will work with the Kinect because the Yu-Gi-Oh! cards have a special silver foil of authenticity on the lower right hand corner. I don't know how Magic the Gathering cards look like, but there has to be some sort of authentication
mark to help identify it from counterfit cards.

I am primarily a card collector (because of the artwork), but I love the Xbox 360 games.

This would be a great opportunity for Microsoft to make the Kinect more appealing to people on the TCG Game fan base.

As far as TCG Games go, you have titles like...

(1) Yu-Gi-Oh!

(2) Magic the Gathering

(3) Cardfight Vanguard

(4) Dinosaur King

(5) Duel Masters

(6) The Lord of the Rings

etc...

I wasn't aware that a card scanner existed for a Yu-Gi-Oh! video game. I really hope that if they're making a Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal video game that they include the card scanner and make this game automatically update itself when the new advanced format ban list
gets released. I do see a lot of potential issues with implementing the card scanner and the updated ban list though, and here they are...

In regards to the card scanner, Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG players will have a massive advantage over Video Game Only Yu-Gi-Oh! players because Video Game Only Yu-Gi-Oh! players will be forced to use the in-game starter decks. Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG players immediately have
access to their full library of cards (after the player scans all of them in) and customized decks.

In regards to the constant updating of the advanced format ban list, NPC characters with " forbidden " cards will require constant replacement cards in order to accomodate the new ban list. This is going to be a big hassle on the developer that made game,
but I am sure that it is something that fans of this game would indeed greatly appreciate and be thankful for

They already have this Lei Fang.

It's called "Skylanders" and "Disney Infinity".

You pay for a game and then you are invited to spend extra on a character to put into it.

This could easily be applied to Trading Card Games.

 

They have this for Lego Dimensions which is sad.

I was going to buy me the Lego game but as I saw that you have to buy all the packs, I changed my mind.

.

Scanning cards for games would be the same for me.

I dont play card games so I personally dont care if they include it.

I un-installed Skylanders Trap Team and I had a lot of fun with that game

However, I got really annoyed at this game because the vibration is always on and there is absolutely no way to turn it off
