Kinect randombly disconnects!

Hello,

I mostly use the kinect for login/turn on, and volume/playback controls but I am not sure if this is because the kinect is broken or because the last xbox new experienced messed something but it is now randombly turning off.

It happen sometimes once a week or several times a day... it turns off and then on again (I notice because the xbox light in the kinect) and sometimes I have to re-connect it or reboot the xbox to get it working again... major annoyance considering the low
utility that is providing.

Is this normal with NXOE? or my kinect is broken?

Favorite "new" feature? The ability to disconnect Kinect.

Kinect disconnects

I am suffering from the exact same issue. It just began doing this about 1-2 weeks ago but at first, it was 1 or 2 times in an extended play through. As of yesterday, it had done it 4+ times within an hour.

I checked out the troubleshooting guide but it basically completed once you said it turns on. From what I can see, there is nothing that deals with random Kinect resets.

Thanks for the feedback. Maybe at this point we need to have someone from the Xbox support team follow up.

Had the same issue with mine. Argued with Microsoft until I was blue in the face but they won't admit it is a software issue.

I ended up sending mine in for replacement for $70. Not happy at all.

I'm now just start to have the same problem as posted:

This weekend even if I did a Power Off, the same thing would happen. I ended up doing a Power off, disconnect the Kinect cable from the Xbox One, waited about 1 minute, reconnected the cable to the Xbox, then turned the Xbox back on. made sure I cleaned
any dust all around. So far after 2 days it's been fine. But will need more time to be sure it this issue is gone for good or random.

It occurs when the kinect is disconnected and after doing a reset with the kinect disconnected. We are in Wisconsin and is rather dry this time of year. Our previous Kinect on the old Xbox 360 worked just fine.
