    Kinect Problems


    My kinect has been turning on and off for about 5 months now. I have done numerous hard resets, unplugged the kinect, and a factory reset. What are my options at this point. It is so annoying to have a console that is easy to control with your voice and
    gestures and half the time not have it work when you need it.

    Burnt,

    Not sure when you had this problem but there was a service alert out yesterday that caused this problem wide spread. If you are still having this issue today and there is not a service alert out (support.xbox.com/.../xbox-live-status)
    please let us know.

    With this i'd say it sounds like a faulty Kinect. I'd go to xbox support and see if they offer you an exchange if you are within warranty?

    Yeah, don't buy any games for the camera that devs are supposed to be making games for, you know for the peripheral you have no choice in owning if you buy the console and can't pack away...don't buy any games that utilize the camera. Just use it to watch
    tv and skype.

    common sense says don't unplug something that's running..... if you've ever owned any electronic it's all the same.
