    Kinect prevents auto-shutoff. Console won't auto-shutoff when in netflix like on 360.


    I suffer from insomnia and something that helps (other people use the same remedy) is having the tv playing a movie or show in background while trying

    to fall asleep. However, I've noticed that if the kinect is plugged in then it won't auto-shutoff like it's SUPPOSE to. Also, even when I unplug it

    before trying to catch some zzz's, if it's playing a show it won't ask if I'm still watching and I always end up with the same result: I wake up

    several hours later (sometimes more) and my xbox one is STILL RUNNING! This wears it out and gives the x1 a shorter lifespan. I never had this problem

    on 360 and can't seem to find any work-around.

    How did something so simple get overlooked by M$ when it worked perfect on 360?

    Can Xbox One control a Vizio sound bar?

    My Samsung sound bar works great with the Xbox One console - voice commands, auto shutoff, and more! ;D

    just wondering if your using Kinect? if you do, any movement that the kinect picks up will reset the timer for auto shutdown when idle.

    Also any Controller thats connected to the console via the play and charge kit wont enable the auto idle shutoff even if its turned on.

    Not sure if your using an external Hard drive for storage but i think that also affects the auto shutdown when its pluged in?

    I couldn't agree more on point #1. I also really like the headset, but the auto shutoff is annoying. Please make it something that can be switched on or off in the Xbox Accessories app or on the console.

    The downloading speed depends on your net connection and the fact if you are playing games that interrupt the background download. To continue the download after you are done gaming put your 360 on active download and it will download while its off. It

    Soundbar connection problems.

    This is common for soundbars when you have them to loud, they have Auto shutoff protection. If possible on that soundbar, lower the bass. If you know its not to loud, id suggest exchanging it for a new one, soundbar may be defective.
