Kinect powering up/down + then not working

My Kinect sensor keeps powering up, and then down. After doing this for a couple of hours, it then shuts down completely. I've tried all of the options on the Kinect support page, but none of them provide a permanent resolution to the issue (they do provide
a temporary fix for a couple of days, and then the problem reoccurs).

Does anybody have any suggestions before I open a formal support ticket?

Xbox One Kinect Stopped Working

CORRECTION: My KINECT suddenly stopped working last night. The console itself is still functioning, other than the Kinect being dead and the console no longer powering down/up my television & receiver.

Dead space not working Xbox one

I had the same issue with Dead Space. Fully powering down the xbox didn't help, but powering down and pulling the power from the brick and waiting about 10 seconds resolved the problem.

Have you tried doing a hard reset on the console? Turn off console ----->unplug all the cords connected to the console --------> Hold down power button for 30 second ----->plug everything in.

Then clear the persistent storage. Go to settings ------> Disc and blue ray ---->Persistent storage ------> clear the persistent storage (3 times)

If this doesn't work, you might need to restore your console to factory defaults

Settings-----> System ----->Restore to factory defaults.

You can set the Xbox One to turn the TV on or off with the Xbox One when it powers up or powers down. It does this with the Kinects IR blaster. Works for AV equipment too. It works for the majority of compatible TV and AV equipment.

Try turning everything off by holding the Xbox logo button until it powers down (takes about a minute), reseat the cable involving Kinect and then power back up and recalibrate. If this doesn't work call support.

Yes, others have had other issues with the Kinect.

There is a trick to try to get the Kinect working, and sometimes it works if there is no power to it (which is OS controlled).

Go to the Kinect settings and make sure the Kinect settings are off. Turn off the console by pushing the power button on the console (as with a hard reset). Unplug the Kinect. Power on the console normally. Once it is on, go to settings to make sure the
settings are still off. Power down the console normally and plug in the Kinect, Power on the console and put in a game that requires the Kinect. Once it loads it should ask you to configure the Kinect. If it can't, your OS is corrupted and the xbox console
plus Kinect has to be completely reset by wiping out the entire OS and starting fresh.

Usually what happens is the Kinect drivers are incompatible with the new software and force updating the Kinect has to be done. There are videos how to do this on YouTube, but often the OS in the console gets corrupted and won't allow the Kinect drivers
to load up and power up the sensor.
