Kinect powering on and off every few seconds ????

Just wondering if anybody else has had the above issue ??

Upon investigation, if i go into the kinect settings to calibrate it, it has the screen where it shows you what kinect can see, and even if you leave that screen there, every say 30 seconds the image dissapears and says please reconnect kinect but 3 or 4
seconds later the image appears again, then this will keep repeating until i leave the screen but the lights on the actual kinect will stay lit, then all go off, then light up again, rinse and repeat you get the picture.

tried microsoft support but they want me to send it in to get repaired at my cost, just the usual, even tho being a very loyal microsoft supporter including owning day one edition, taking part in preview programs, betas and reknewing my live account 2 years
in advance all the time doesnt seem to matter, just want more money, lol.

Is this just me tough luck ???

Kinect pausing during games

The kinect if my XBox One keeps pausing every few seconds! I switched it off and on again. Also ran an update! Seemed to work fine but then started again after a few minutes! Help!

Hi Impact,

This could very well be hardware / software / or airflow problems

What I would do is, make sure that the cable is firm in the XB One system, and Kinect Sensor.

I Would also do a hard power off, on the Xbox. (From an ON state, holding power button for 5 seconds)

Regards to air flow, you can try to change position on both the XB One and kinect sensor, just try it from another angle and position to see if the error still persists.

If you still have the same error I would advice that you should try and get a replacement Kinect. (Borrow a friends kinect for a couple of minutes). And see if it is the kinect sensor or Xbox one that is the problem.

When thats done you know what hardware is failing, and you should contact Microsoft Support for a replacement.

oh, i since found that owners in the USA have been taking there consoles and kinect with same issues to a microsoft store and getting all replaced for free ?? seems to be a known issue but cant something be done for owners in scotland ??

 

Having the same issue myself... love the kinect voice controls but i may just give up on it....

 

surely theres more people than this still having these issues ??

I read on a previous thread there was loads of people having these issues but to start a new updated thread so thats what i done, wheres my help now MS ???

 

Still having the issues...Microsoft seems to have given up on the Kinect so I guess that means I have to also... maybe when I can get it on clearance for $30 I will go back....
