    Kinect One Ext Cable


    from my understanding there is not an ext cable available for the kinect one. a microsoft rep told me that no one has had a problem with the length of the cable, i kinda find it hard to believe. there are extension cables or adapters for every cable out
    there and yet microsoft supposedly never thought of that. for now the xbox one in my opinion has the worst setup. i can't even take advantage of this supposedly great system. i spent money on something that i can't even use and that really makes it the worst
    system out there.

    Kinect One Ext Cable

    According to the Support article below there currently is no extension cable for the Xbox One Kinect and Support recommend that you move the sensor and console closer together.

    Moving the console is not an option in my home entertainment setup. if the console is moved closer it will be sittting on the floor. so if that be the case it might be best in the trash.

    microsoft should not have made a different cable for the kinect one. i just don't understand why an ext cable is not available and how that never crossed any of the microsoft engineer's mind to make one.

    The cable is around 9ft (3 meters) which should be long enough for most setups. I don't think they have looked at developing a longer cable at the moment, as the Kinect uses an IR Blaster to control TV's and AV devices but only has a limited range. I wouldn't
    be surprised if third party company ends up creating one but at the moment Microsoft aren't.

    9ft should be long enough. but my setup requires a cable that is longer than 9ft. microsoft should not depend on a third party company to develop a single cable that only is used for the kinect system. if microsoft really cared for their customers/gamers
    then they would produce the necessary cabling. otherwise the xbox one and kinect system is a total bomb and failure
