Kinect on original xbox one keeps disconnecting, only reboot fixes it for 1-2 days

OK Miss Ghidorah,- thanks for the quick reply. I am going to try the steps outlined on the Xbox One Kinect Troubleshooter page that you suggested. Originally, I just did a hard reboot, but not disconnected the power brick from the Xbox One, etc. I did disconnect
the Kinect after performing the hard reboot and then reconnected it. So far it appears fine, but if it recurs, I'm going to follow the troubleshooter steps exactly as outlined in the article and let yo know.

This is a socalled "reboot loop problem" with the kinect and can only be fixed by replacing the kinect. That already 2 times by myself.

Here are a few simple fixes that may work for you 1.Power Cycle(Reboot) the console and router 2.Disconnect all third party headsets (if you're using wireless) 3. Check for interference and check the distance (for wifi) 4. Use cables

I hope perhaps one of these easy things can fix your issue.

Try going to the following on your xbox

1. network settings

2. disconnect

3. when disconnect click configure network

4. reset connection to default

5. reboot console

6. connect again

7. problem may or may not be fixed

I have posted that just before Christmas I was getting quite a few issues with dashboarding and the controller randomly disconnecting.

I read on the Support forums one gamer say that by turning Kinect off in the settings it stopped the problems with the controller disconnecting, I tried it myself and not one controller disconnect and the odd thing I didn't get one dashboard ( Over a 2 day
period ). I turned Kinect back on, 3 dashboards and 1 controller disconnect ( again over a 2 day period )

I spoke to Support and they said they are aware of these issues and advised me for the time being to leave Kinect turned off, ok not the ideal situation as I want to use Kinect but I'd rather be able to play without these random issues so worth a try folks
if your experiencing issues like I had.

With so many others reporting similar issues and even Xbox Support telling me "Microsoft are aware of these issues" I'm sure it will be fixed in an upcoming patch, until then though my Kinect remains turned off.
