Really displeased with Xbox One at present. I was going to upgrade my Xbox One to an Xbox One S - but I think at the moment I'll stick with my Xbox One and upgrade my PS4 instead.

The main reason is I have Fru on my Xbox One which I really enjoy. I then notice on Xbox One S there is no Kinect port, so you need an adapter to use it.

Ok that's not too bad - according to Microsoft's website the Kinect adapter is only £39.99 - but oh no Microsoft have decided to discontinue it - the same as they discontinued the Sidewinder Joysticks, and the trackball mice. Of course a quick look on eBay
    - Kinect adapters are selling for over £150 - seriously??? I know Kinect has been discontinued but there are many of us who've been swindled and robbed by Microsoft selling us Kinect games that without spending another £150 we can no longer play because they've
chosen to discontinue the add on and are allowing people on eBay to hold people to ransom if they want to play their games on the new consoles.

I thought the idea of the Xbox One and Xbox One S was it was "supposed" to be compatible with all the games, however I really don't appreciate being held to ransom for £150 just so I can play old games on the upgrade. So at present I'm going to stick with
the original Xbox One - I know it can't do 4K but at least the PS4 Pro can do 4K and I can keep my original Xbox One for Kinect games, and not have to buy a £150 adapter (especially as the original adapter was only £39.99 when Microsoft sold it)

    :)

Urgently await the backward compatibility of the Harry Potter game for kinect. We believe in the competence of this company, Microsoft. Antecipadente thank the understanding of all and wait a positive response.

Sorry to say but no Xbox 360 Kinect games will be made backwards compatible as they will not work with the Xbox One Kinect.

The 360 Kinect is different from the Xbox One Kinect.

I suppose it can be annoying, but then again you can probably can't on one hand the number of people that play Kinect games. Not upgrading because of that is a silly reason.

They should still sell them in fairness.

  5. You could get one from the USA.

This one for example would cost you around £90 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Xbox-Kinect-Adapter-for-Xbox-One-S-Xbox-One-X-and-Windows-10-PC-NEW-SEALE...
it's best offer too so you might be able to knock them down a bit.

Amazon is also an option Amazon.com: Buying Choices: Xbox Kinect Adapter for Xbox One S and Windows 10 PC Buy Top Tech is fulfilled by Amazon
and ships to the UK. The price would be about £70 once import fees are taken into account.

I know the options aren't as cheap as getting the adaptor straight from Microsoft but they are a damn sight cheaper than the £150 options you've found.

  6. Really frustrating! It should not cost us anything to be able to use a device we have already purchased.

I'm putting the lottery numbers on this week, someone who actually uses the Kinect, never though I'd see the day.

I agree that it is annoying that the Xbox One X/S don't have the Kinect input, but I would imagine that the amount of people that use it is that low that its not worth putting the electronics into the console just for that 0.5 or 1% of users that still use
    the Kinect.
