Kinect mounting

I have both versions of kinect. For the One and the 360. I was wondering which would be better to mount above the TV and which to leave on the shelf below the TV. I use both regularly so I'm trying to avoid having to keep moving things around and recalibrating
every time I switch. I heard that kinect for the One was better above. Any suggestions?

No it wouldn't there was a leaked installation manual a few weeks ago, it recommends anywhere in a central position, go to page 2, diagram 2 http://jogos.download.uol.com.br/levelup/manual_xboxone.pdf

It's in Portuguese the manual, but you can put it above the TV fine.

I wouldn't count on that at all. MS has said nothing of that. I would say this is most likely a no go.

Both Kinect Sensors are designed to be mounted above the television for the best gaming experience possible. You can find more information on the mounting options on the Kinect mounting support pages. I'll provide the links below:

I believe the best thing to do in my opinion is to have the Kinect sensor for the system you use more frequently above your television. And the one you use less frequently on the bottom.

The Kinect Sensor for Xbox One is hands-down much better in general.

 

Thanks for the response. I figured as much. Looks like the one is going above the TV and the 360 below. I use the one more and the kids use the 360 more so going by height this seems to be the obvious way to go
