    Kinect mic with headset audio


    Hi guys,

    Ive been trying to use my kinect's mic for party chat whilst using my headset (which is plugged in) for game audio. The bluetooth headset I have has a 3.5 mm mic but it doesn't work when I use the aux cable to plug it in to my controller so that is why I
    have been trying to use headset for audio and kinect for mic.

    I have looked in the settings and checked the "use kinect for chat" button but it still doesnt want to work when I have the headset in.

    Is there any way to be able to do this? Thank you.

    My current turtle beach headset with the xboxONE

    There should be a setting in the dash, much the like the 360 that will allow you to route chat audio through your audio output to you TV or whatever you have connected to the XB1 audio output eg. your Turtle Beach headset. Once you have your headset on
    you should be able to use the kinect mic to speak to your friends and in game parties. So really the only thing missing is a mic connection from the headset but that can be substituted with the kinect mic iirc.

    Could you not just use your current headset/headphones for audio and the Kinect as a mic !?

    I believe that you can use the headset for the in-game audio and use Kinect as the chat mic.

    Hi there, ensure to select in settings your headset mic is the audio input microphone of preference and not kinect or any other input setting.
