kinect mic not found

when i'm in a party, i frequently get 'mic not found' by my name whilst using kinect ..... it goes after i'm half way through a sentence, but people are not always hearing me, i have calibrated it numerous times, but i still get it

have you found a solution to this yet?? i am having a similar problem it is only recording my voice through the kinect and not my mic, but it works???? it only lets me do voicovers with kinect??? im really confused.

I found a way to fix it, you go to your settings and select kinect and turn off and on the kinect chat until you can talk through your mic again

 

Go to your settings and ensure that the box for "Mic used for Chat" is checked. That should fix your problem.

 

it is checked, thats why the problem is intermittent .... it's almost as if the mic goes into standby when i'm not talking, and, when i do start talking it misses the start of my chats because 'mic not found' which disappears when i'm about half way through
a sentence

 

I had a similar problem with the microphone that came with my xbox one. I would rarely get my microphone to work. I bought a new headset and this fixed the problem. If your using the original headset there is a chance it has gone bad. If you can borrow
a headset from someone and try it that might help troubleshoot your problem.
