kinect mic does not work when playing an xbox live game with 2 local players

Hi,

I'm trying to play Call of Duty:Black Ops over xbox live with two people playing locally via split-screen. When I play on xbox live single player, the kinect works fine and other users can hear me and I can hear them. When we have 2 people locally, the kinect
seems to just shut off and not work. Anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?

Titanfall Atlas headset - microphone not working?

Well, I figured out with a friend that it switches from Kinect voice chat to my mics voice chat when I boot up a game. Basically, my mic doesn't work when I'm not playing an actual game (even with Kinect chat off), but then does work upon immediately booting
up let's say Dead Rising 3.

Kinda strange.

 

xbox controller audio mic catching audio from game

hi there was woundering if anyone else is having issues with audio on the xbox one controller i have earbuds with a mic and yes the mic works fine i can here my audio fine but when im playing any game online multiplayer my mic catches the audio of my game
and does not stay silent also on my 4k lg tv b7a series when i plug in for audio on my xbox controller it does not work at all no audio but mic works

 

Sorry but the sensor will not work for chat with more than one person. If you have multiple people playing you will need to use headsets.

 

I've also tried using multiple headsets and it has the same problem... If only one headset is plugged into a controller... the mic and chat works fine (~90% of the time). If both are plugged in, I can't rarely hear people and neither of the microphones will
work. If I unplug one mic, it's 50/50 whether the other will start working...

 

Does the other player have Gold or is it a Guest account?

 

The other player is a guest account. If we get 2 xbl accounts, would that fix everything? (Kinect will suddenly work with two players and both mics will work fine?)

 

Kinect won't work with 2 players signed in. However, a guest account does not have access to use the chat function in a game. You could always just use one mic and set the sound to go through the TV.

 

Are speakers disabled when a guest is logged it? Even though I have preferences set to output to both speakers and headset -- the audio only goes to one headset.

If i set it to speaker, I can't hear anybody talking....
