But smileskybird, less for less is only natural and there really is not reason to waste money on Kinect if you really don't want one. What are the chances of someone suddenly deciding they want Kinect if they have, to this day, been laughing at it and the
"awesome features" it brings to games? Not really high, now, are they? Some people just never have no need for more than the comfortable controller they already receive with the console.

  2. Lei Fang, I'm not a fan of Yu-Gi-Oh!, but man, if they did that with Magic the Gathering cards, I would have decks that would destroy the competition. Kinect-less Xbox One releasing on June 9. :)

  3. Hello "Galactic Geek" Kinect-less Xbox One releasing on June 9. :)

In theory, any TCG Game will work with the Kinect because the Yu-Gi-Oh! cards have a special silver foil of authenticity on the lower right hand corner. I don't know how Magic the Gathering cards look like, but there has to be some sort of authentication
mark to help identify it from counterfit cards.

I am primarily a card collector (because of the artwork), but I love the Xbox 360 games.

This would be a great opportunity for Microsoft to make the Kinect more appealing to people on the TCG Game fan base.

As far as TCG Games go, you have titles like...

    (1) Yu-Gi-Oh!

    (2) Magic the Gathering

    (3) Cardfight Vanguard

    (4) Dinosaur King

    (5) Duel Masters

    (6) The Lord of the Rings

    etc...

Have a nice day or afternoon or night Kinect-less Xbox One releasing on June 9. :)

Believe me Lei Fang, there's far more than those 6 out there, but only 1 of them is on top - and that honor belongs to MtG. Kinect-less Xbox One releasing on June 9. ;)

I've spent far too much money on MtG cards over the years. Kinect-less Xbox One releasing on June 9. :(

@Lei Fangs Idea, thats an amazing way to bring money into the system, it would also be excellent if they reversed it, so you buy cards online, and can pay for them to be sent to you, to play in real life.

Sorry don't know if it has been mentioned since I haven't read everything but Yu Gi Oh and the like should be made totally Kinect play and they would be amazing.

I love the Xbox 360 Yu-Gi-Oh! games, but the off the wall randomness reward system is so annoying! I mean, at the very least let us pick which booster pack to get after the match.

Basically, it is as if someone filled up a box with booster packs / structure decks and then your reward is whatever you get.

In my card collection right now, I summon Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon with ease (I love this card so much), but in the video game I still have 2 Blue-Eyes White Dragons and Polymerization. I still need 1 more Blue-Eyes White Dragon and Dragon's Mirror.

Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon is a BAD card. I know because of the fact that it has a high resource cost to summon it. But I don't care because I play to have fun and only against the computer anyways LOL Kinect-less Xbox One releasing on June 9. :)

The two reasons I don't play Yu Gi Oh online are becuase of the price structure ( don't know if its changed) but I refuse to play per duel, and I don't like the interface, it used to be very simple but neat, easy to use and was just like the proper card
games, then they changed it and make it all fancy walking about and IMO spoilt it.

Haven't look at it since. but do like the yu gi oh game, and look forward to the day I can shout at my xbox one, xbox I call in my blue eyes white dragon, muuuhahahhahaha

They dropped kinect because the xbox wasn't selling at $499.99. I personally didn't care for kinect to begin with. Microsoft focused to much on the kinect and it didn't pay off, they should have spent more time on deciding on a GPU that is more powerful
as even with the 10% power increase it still is sub 1080p. Both consoles aren't that powerful and you are getting a bargain for the price they sell for but games should not be having issues with hitting 1080p not on the x86 architecture that every developer
knows! Developers are already maxing out the consoles this early and that will be a problem, but a good game is a good game regardless of platform.

The kinect should have just stayed a peripheral as that is all it is, it's certainly better than the camera Sony came out with and is better with voice commands. But Microsoft really dropped the ball on betting with kinect. They should have came out with
a much more powerful console and came out with kinect 2.0 later on.

  11. I have to disagree with your initial statement, Rukiri; the console broke records in terms of early sales, so I doubt that it was because it wasn't selling. I also don't believe that they are already maxing out the console - they're still learning how to
improve upon what's there. I mean come on, the developers of the console itself are improving upon it every day and giving us monthly updates. That's awesome! How could it not be? Personally, I can understand if you don't agree with using the Kinect, but anyone
who says the Kinect sensor is a bad thing (not that you are) simply doesn't know what they're talking about because it's one advanced piece of hardware that's making a huge difference in the tech world and in more ways than just through entertainment and gaming.

  12. Hello "EnenDaveyBoy" Kinect-less Xbox One releasing on June 9. :)

The Xbox 360 versions of Yu-Gi-Oh! only require you to download the game, you don't need to buy the booster packs / structure decks (but they do help out a lot).

Personally, I bought them because they were cheaper than buying the actual cards Kinect-less Xbox One releasing on June 9. :)

With that said, Microsoft really needs to get with the program and use the Kinect for TCG games.

I got one of the kinect-less xb1's, its alright. I got it cheap though, just under $300 CAD after taxes after trading in a couple of games and my ps3. I will pick up a kinect 2.0 later on.

I have never used kinect so I don't know if it's missing something but when Compared to the 360 and ps3 it seems a little more clunky to use the interface menus... I guess I will have I get used to how hints are do e on the new system...
