Kinect keeps turning off/restarting

Hi - The Kinect unit on my Xbox One keeps turning off and restarting itself. I've found a number of discussions online where other users have had the same issue, but there appears to be no definitive fix other than sending in for repair. I've tried the troubleshooting
steps onine. My only questions really is, is it a fault with the console, or the Kinect sensor itself?

I bought the console brand new a few months ago, but the Kinect was a pre-owned unit bought at the same time. Obviously there is no warranty with MS available to me for the Kinect, but the I can return the Kinect to the store I got it from. I just need to
know if others have had the same issue where the fault lies - either the console or the Kinect.

Has anyone had this issue before, and if so, what was the fix for this? Was it the console or the sensor?

Kinect troubleshooting steps a try and see if they can help. If you are still having issues after, I would suggest replacing the Kinect sensor. Please post back if you have any further issues after following these steps.

 

Hi i was on with MS help yesterday, they told me to unplug everything leave for 3-5 mins then plug in again..

I was "like i have done that so many times".. was ok till turned off. when i put back on again today it went off after about 10 mins for no reason. I have to keep unplugging and plugging back in again! so fed up>

Sure it's a software issue as no error message but just not sure!!!
