Kinect keeps turning itself on and off.

My kinect ever since the July update keeps turning itself off and back on. It had stopped doing this for awhile but starting this morning it started to do it again. So far today its turned off and back on 20 times. Has any else had this problem? Is this
a good sign that its about to stop working completely?

Is my hardware at fault?

Since the last update my kinect keeps turning itself off every 2 minutes any ideas?

Kinect keeps turning off by itself

Very *** *** manufacturing for 500$. My Xbox, and my Xbox 360, both still work with no problems and they are first edition of each generation of Xbox's. The Xbox one seems to be made cheap and unreliable the more I use it. I just got mine last year December,
and the Kinect is already acting up and turning off. My headsets fail easily, and my Xbox is turning off by it self after the latest update. SIGH*

My Kinect has been turning off since I bought the xbox one 3 years ago first kinect I had to unplug whole system 2nd kinect I bought I had to unplug kinect from the back. Would turn on and off and stay off till I unplugged it and was sluggish with my voice
commands. When verizon fios upgraded me from a generation 2 router to a generation 3 router a few weeks ago both kinects work very well and never turns off or miss a voice command. It has something to do with the router.

Can you try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down? See if that solves the issue.

i have had two kinects already,the first one just stopped working altogether but the process getting it replaced under warranty was simple. now i have the second kinect switching itself on and off over and over again or simply not turning on at all. it NEVER
works properly for more than 10 minutes,i have tried all the suggested press this and press that a million times which solve absolutely nothing just a complete waste of time. now i am told i can send it back but as the warranty has expired i will have to pay
or simply purchase another one?

I did use the kinect everyday for fitness and was loving it but as i have already had two i am reluctant to purchase another one if i am expected to be pleased if it lasts a year!

Now the console keeps losing wifi unless i restart the wireless,is the console going to break as well?

i paid nearly £700 for a day one edition of this console but now seriously wish i didnt!

Maybe i should of bought a ps4? i know a few people that have no issues at all where as EVERY xbox one owner i talk to has had an issue of one kind or another!

Poor show microsoft,your customer services are absolutely terrible as is the reliability of your hardware!

Resetting factory defaults did not work. Don't waste your time just return it. The Kinect is broken.

ITS FOR LIFE

Mine has been randomly saying it's disabled (showing the icon in the top-right of the screen). A hard-reset (holding the power button down until the system shuts off) temporarily fixes the issue, but it is happening every couple of days or so.

I'll try unplugging the cables while powered off and then reconnect. Hopefully this will resolve my issues as well.

ITS FOR LIFE

My Kinect kept doing this, this weekend. I turned off my Xbox disconnected the power cord and disconnected the Kinect cord too. After about 30 seconds I plugged in the Xbox power cord and turned it on. After i came on i went to the settings clicked Kinect
then plugged in my Kinect. Its working fine now. But it is a worrisome problem that i fear will get worse in the future.

Bro. Its a factory defect. I had three kinects broke on me. First time they replaced it. The replaced one would donthe same like u said after a year. I got a third one from another xbox and it happened again a year later. Its microsofts issue. They wont
admit theres something wrong with it.
