Kinect keeps shutting down

    Kinect keeps shutting down


    When my Kinect was connected to my Xbox one, after about 6 months it kept shutting down after about 10 minutes & I had to unplug/plug-in to switch on again. After upgrading to the Xbox One S & being sent the new cables, it worked for about 2 weeks but then
    started doing the same thing again. Is this a hardware or software problem & what can I do to correct this?

    Try unplugging your xbox and then plugging it back in, or go to settings and reset your xbox with keeping games and apps.

    Keeps shutting down

    Turn Xbox one on, start game and it shuts down. Does with several different games. Unit is only 18 mo old

    Xbox One won't turn off automatically

    Do you have Kinect?

    IF Kinect sees movement it can keep the xbox active so it doesn't shut down

    Hi Michele,

    I'm sorry to hear that. Does it only happen with games or if you open up anything in general the Xbox Shuts off?

    Follow these steps to reset your power supply unit:

    1. Unplug the cables from the console, wall outlet, and power supply itself.
    2. Wait 30 seconds.
    3. Plug it back in and power on the Xbox.

    If that doesn't solve the problem, I would recommend for you to try this: Xbox One
