kinect just stopped turning on.

my kinect just stopped working one day. the kinect is plugged in properly, the kinect is turned on in settings. how can the kinect sensor just stop working with no warning? tried turning everything off and unplugging everything for a few minutes, plugging
everything back in and turning it on. kinect still not turning on.

Xbox One Kinect Stopped Working

My XBoxOne suddenly stopped working last night as well. Was there an update recently or something? In addition to my Kinect suddenly bricking, it also stopped turning my TV & receiver off/on. The heck's going on?

Xbox one Console won't turn on"

Xbox one Console won't turn on. It just stopped turning on but it yellow light on the adapter when plugged in.

Sorry to hear that your Kinect is not turning on. Just to make sure that we are not missing any troubleshooting steps, I would like you to try a few steps to see if we can get this issue sorted.

Please give the following steps a try:

Power off your Xbox One console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for 10 seconds.

Unplug the console's power cable.

Unplug the Kinect sensor from the console.

Plug the console power cable back in.

Press the Xbox button on your console to power up the Xbox One.

Press the Menu button on your controller.

Select Settings and then select Kinect.

Plug the Kinect sensor into the back of the console and wait 5 seconds for it to be recognized.

If your Kinect will still not turn on, it may need to be repaired. To get your Kinect repaired please follow the steps at our Get
your Xbox One products repaired page. We will be standing by if further assistance is needed.

if you turn the sensor off by going into the kinect settings on the dashboard, it should stop displaying the mic. But if you only turn the kinect mic off, it will still display the mic symbol in the game. As i have one but i just turn the kinect sensor off
and it turns the mic totally off

It's just the beta box having system issues.

I tried typing a fully coherent response and that is all that appeared...sorry.

The Kinect does not cut off just because there is a mic present.

The Kinect is still listening for commands

The mic is only communicating or chatting with others.

Both work simultaneously but if you're expecting the Kinect to stop listening for commands you will have to turn off the Kinect settings as such.

Mine was doing that too. I just turned off my Kinect microphone and it stopped doing it. So it must have been picking up feedback from my TV
