Kinect isnt working only during gameplay.

I've gone to settings, seen what the Kinect sees, done all the visual and audio stepa... allison good there. The power light, little white light, and (most importantly here) red dots are all on, UNTIL my kid puts in just dance once the game is on the red
dots go away, only the red dots.

If I push the xbox button and pull up the home menu, the red dots come right on, as soon as I close that they go back off. I AM LOSING MY [Mod Removed - Profanity] I cannot figure out why and what and WHY

Thanks for the reply and update on the issue with the Kinect. As mentioned by XBF Leonzo, Have you tried reinstalling the game?

power cycling the console by holding down the power button on the console for ten seconds. The issue may be with this particular game instead of the Kinect itself. Have you attempted to

uninstall and
reinstall the game? Be sure to let us know the results!

Ok...this is where things stand as of now. We have figured out that if a disc is inserted, the kinect works perfectly with the game(s) it is only games that are downloaded on the xbox that it is not working with. Again, it only stops, or the red lights
turn off, when the game is actually on. You can have the game open, and hit the home button as soon as the menu pops up, the red dots appear, they disappear as soon as you close it/return to game.

The game may not be a Kinect game. If it isn't then the Kinect will turn off during gameplay. Double-check the game to make sure it is a Kinect compatible game.
