    Kinect is working but not responding and the settings page is messed up


    Today I played xbox as usual and noticed that my voice commands were not working for some random reason. After searching the web for an answer I was sent to the settings page but when I went there the screen was black and only highlighted what I was currently
    selecting (to put it in perspective, the screen was black and the only thing I could see was what was currently being hovered). My Kinect isn't broken because it still responds to xbox on and the power mode is on instant-on which makes me frustrated and I
    was thinking someone would have an answer.

    tl;dr Kinect is not broken but will ONLY respond to xbox on and the settings page is completely black except for what is currently highlighted

    It's not you, the forums are broken. Everyone's CUL is messed up. The Forum Home Page is messed up, My Discussion is messed up, My Favorites is messed up but no one is doing anything about it.

    TF Devastation pre order DLC wont download

    That would be messed up/false advertising. I don't mind if they just own up to a mistake and give us an estimated date for an update, but this whole Activision/Platinum Games not responding to the problem is ridiculous.

    It's the X, I've reset the console to factory and got the kinect working now. I'm on preview program and choose omega level, hoping it was the beta setting that kept messing up the kinect

    Kinect keeps turning off and on after update

    Have you tried a system reset? If that doesn't work then maybe the next update will fix it. And you can just unplug the Kinect from the XB1. But if you like Kinect it's a bummer that it's messed up.

    For all of you having this issue, I was having the same as well, till I was messing around with TV integration, even thou I didn't have my cable hooked up to the Xbox I ran the set up, with that set up it came the option of the xbox enabling to control your
    tv with kinect. After that the kinect turns on my tv and xbox at once :)

    If you are under the age of 18, there will still be a restriction on some demos or trailers, regardless of the parental settings. Those restrictions will be lifted when your account is promoted to an adult account, when you turn 18.

    a please try doing a system cache reset to see if this may fix your issue.

    Hold the powerbutton for about 15 seconds and keep it holding even when the one turns off after some seconds. Wait for the power supply to change the color to orange and then restart the console.
