Kinect is stuck issues

Okay, so just yesterday, my friend lend me his Xbox 360, gave me 2 controllers, a few battery packs, a nyko charger, and a Kinect. My cousins were with me (there really young, around 7-9 years old.) They started playing around with the Kinect, such as manually
moving it up and down (which on this website says that can damage the hardware) And just a few minutes ago, I was re-calibrating the Kinect for Fruit Ninja Kinect, it calibrated but all it did was move completely down, and make a similar sound to when you
would remove a cartridge during gameplay on a GBA, but less headaches (I didn't know what else to compare it to!) I unplugged the Kinect from the Xbox. I didn't wan't to connect it again because I think it might break, help please?

We're stuck in a loop. Res, Backwards compatibility, price, Kinect, Res, Backwards compatibility, price, Kinect. I'd like to hear about something else, even if it is a complaint.

 

Do voice commands work on new the Kinectless XB1?

I find it funny that all the ppl who bought an X1 with Kinect are like "GET A KINECT"....b/c they got stuck with one and now they want everyone to be stuck with one.

Sorry to tell you that if the kids were moving it up and down they probably stripped the gears and broke it. You're going to have to purchase a new kinect sensor for your friend to replace it.
