Kinect Help - Need to extend my Kinect

I just purchased an XBOX ONE with Kinect and the cord that goes from the Kinect to the gaming console is too short for the location of the console. HELP. Microsoft says that they only have an extension cable for the XBOX 360. They did say that some 3rd party
providers may have suitable extension cables. Any ideas????

Questions and Concerns about having an Xbox One in a Media Closet:

Kinect has a proprietary plug, so you can't just use a regular extender cable. Right now there's no extender available, so you either need to put your X1 next to your TV, or not use the Kinect.

Extend kinect 2.0 cable

Come on Microsoft we NEED a way to extend the Kinect 2.0 Cable. This is CRAZY that an option doesn't exist.

It is not recommended to increase the length as it may create problems.

Otherwise, you may want to check out a product such as this one on amazon:

After looking through the reviews, people have stated they have had 100% success in extending their Kinects with no performance issues or problems.

Then there are also products such as:

Which extned the IR from your Xbox.

Kinect for Windows -> directly into Xbox = FAIL

Kinect for Xbox -> Hub -> Xbox USB port = PASS

Kinect for Xbox -> Hub -> PC = PASS

No, it's not a universal remote: (www.xbox.com/.../media-remote)

The remote controls TV/receiver power and volume through Kinect, or an IR extender cable (cable not included).

You need Kinect or IR Extenders.

As for buying kinect, it is not available separately yet. I don't really need it now that I got a $7 IR extender cable for my tv cable and sound systems...
