Kinect headtracking problem.

The lean and headtracking work fine, but the pop up message in the top middle of the tv screen keeps popping up ever minute or two to tell me leaning and headtracking our now enabled. You also see a view of yourself in the message box. I thought maybe the
kinect was having trouble seeing me, or recogizing so i did the setup again even though i have no other kinect issues or trouble siging in with kinect. Is this just normal for everyone? My lighting to low ( which i thought not an issue with kinect 2.0) or
another issue...

Xbox one dvr problem

It's a RAM issue with BF4 - turn off kinect headtracking and the lean feature in BF4 'Kinect settings' and your DVRs will record as expected.

Hmm... my bad.

The video did not load here at first, so I unfortunately I was able to check it out not before I posted my first post.

After checking your video I think it is a different problem. Looks more like a problem whether with the headtracking through Kinect in Forza or a change of perspective through your controller.

If you have headtracking with Kinect enabled would please check, if the problem persists if you turn it off?

If you do not use this feature with the Kinect may you please select a different controller configuration within Forza, so that the view controls are on different buttons then you use now and then check if this changes anything?

 

just turn it off eventually youre gonna get in a veh and be looking off to the side or something, it still headtrack when you pull the left trigger and its better that way

 

I tried using the head tracking and contextual lean features as well but I ended up turning them both off. I've calibrated my Kinect and made sure that it 'sees' me the way it's supposed to, but anytime I turn on the head tracking it thinks I'm looking off
to one side... and anytime I use the leaning feature, there have been places in the game where it will cause screen 'jitter'. It was a nice thought and it's awesome when it works the way it was supposed to... but it just doesn't work well enough (for me).
I cannot tolerate screen jitter.

 

yeah....despite what my kinnect thinks, my head is infact screwed on straight ....but for some reason as soon as I jump into a jeep or a boat or motorcycle ....no matter where my head is actually pointed, the kinnect skews it off to one side

 

also, my kinnect likes to start mapping people that aren't there .....my wife even witnessed it....it mapped her, me and a third person .....my wife is convinced my 'man cave' (spare bedroom with my video game crap) is haunted ....to her credit, two people
that I know of died in my house ....including one in my 'mancave', these were previous owners dying of natural causes mind you (my house is an old farmhouse) ....personally, I like to think she just watches too much Ghost Hunters or whatever it's called ....but
I do prefer the lights on in that room at night

Wow... well, Kinect does 'see' in the IR spectrum... *insert creepy music* Maybe next time it decides to map someone who 'isn't there' you should get to the Kinect settings as quickly as possible and hit the "what Kinect sees" button and look through all the
available spectrums. If... you... dare... (0o0)

 

the head tracking is nothing more than an afterthought, shoe-horned into the game. A novelty. -- and a poorly implemented one, at that.

The lean feature is absolutely unnecessary, as the feature is easier to use when set to a default mode, allowing you to lean around corners automatically when aiming down sights. And the vehicle head tracking is bugged, so every time you enter a vehicle,
you're looking straight up. This is fixed by switching to the outside view, then returning to the inside view - but this is impossible in hardcore mode - so the feature is completely useless.

I havent gotten into the lean in BF yet, but what would be great is if you could lean without having to be face planted against something like a corner (thats how it is in CoD). A IRL "slice the pie", that would be the optimal way to come around corners,
like we train IRL. Be 10-15 feet from the corner, then lean to look around it.

 

Lean works great with Kinect... The head-tracking is awesome, pity it glitches out all the time. Have either of those turned on and you can't record clips (RAM memory issue) so all in all a waste of time atm.

With the Kinect lean feature you can lean while standing in the middle of nowhere. While playing I've seen guys just standing in the open but leaning to the side. It's quite funny to see actually.

 

^^Oh, it might be possible to do a real "slice the pie" then. Makes every corner a headglitch.

 

My lean is on and the game records clips by itself, never tried myself tho
