Kinect/Headset Compatibility Issues - -Please help!!!

Can anyone help me with this? I've tried searching everywhere and I'm yet to find anyone experiencing the same problem, let alone a resolution.

Here's the issue:

If my kinect is plugged in, my microphone will not work. I can't hear anyone in game chat, party chat etc etc. Having spent absolutely ages playing with NAT's trying to sort it (The NAT always shows as open. I have a static IP and all ports forwarded), I
kind of gave up.

The above was back last year. I've just moved house and after setting up my XB1 again (checked all NAT's - set up as before and open) I decided to leave my kinect unplugged until the TV went up on the wall. Lo and behold, party chat and game chat started
working.

So I turned off the XB1, connected the Kinect, restarted the console and same thing....mic not working.

I turned it off. disconnected kinect, turned it on again and party chat worked fine. Here's the weird thing though - Once I'm already in party chat/game chat I can connect the kinect and everything works absolutely fine.

Does anyone know a solution to this? Obviously i could just start up the console, game and then connect the camera but that's a pain. Yes, I could leave the camera unplugged but I find it useful for navigation etc. so I'd rather not lose it given the choice,

Please Help, Headset Issue

Hi.

So, to begin, I got an Xbox One not too long ago and I bought a wireless Turtle Beach headset for it. I could hear everything online: game audio, my friends talking. But they couldn't hear me. They can see my mic lighting up but no voice volume can be heard on their end. Which is weird, because when I send a voice message they can hear that just fine. So it's clearly not a mic issue. But I thought it was so I ended up returning my wireless headset and going back to a wired one to see if that would be better and fix my problem. It didn't, so clearly at this point I'm pissed off. Especially because I wanted to be wireless. So at this point I'm thinking it has to be an Xbox setting, right? Nope. I've checked every single setting imaginable on this trash Windows 8-style dashboard (my God, why did they ever get rid of the 360 layout?). Anyway, it wasn't a privacy or audio setting or anything. I've updated my controller, I've assigned a headset and controller to my gamertag, I've hard reset the entire Xbox. I've literally done 99% of anything all of you on IGN boards could ever recommend me to do to try and fix the issue. But I'm hoping there's someone in the world who can give me advice and find that 1% that I haven't tried.The only time the mic doesn't work is just when I try to use game or party chat to talk to people. I can hear game audio on Blops 3 just fine and the people talking online, but not a single soul can hear me and I'm ready to break the goddamn Xbox. Could it be a software issue? Is that the problem? Because I can't think of anything else in this world that it could be. I work for Microsoft inside of Best Buy so I got the One for free because of my position, so I honestly shouldn't complain (though it is a refurb one because companies are cheap). I'm at the point where I'm ready to just give this Xbox back and buy my own. Does anyone have *any* input on this at all? Anyone have the same experience? I'm all out of ideas. Please show me the light before I go crazy. This is one of the most frustrating things I've ever experienced in my lifetime of playing games online. I can't even talk to damn friends smh. I've googled the hell out of this and the internet has literally no fix, which blows my mind. Never thought I'd say that I couldn't find something on Google. I'm hoping there's a person on here who is a brainiac on this. This is my last resort.

Sorry to hear it. The headset should work when the Kinect is attached. What brand of headset are you using and do you have the adapter for the controller?

Have you updated your controller with the adapter attached? If not, you should do that in the Settings menu.
