    Please follow the steps on this
    Support page     to troubleshoot your Kinect unit. Unfortunately if it doesn't work after troubleshooting you'll need to send it in for repair.

    I'm having the same fault , mine started after I had the update for cortana on my Xbox , I spoke to support and they told me to post in the forums. They said it may have something to do with the early acces update which involves the cortana, hopefully some
    on from early acces can help out

    What lights are on the power brick when you're having problems?

    The brick should provide enough power to power the Kinect and hard drives etc without problems. Mine does.

    Kinect does not have a power brick. You connect it with the chord from the sensor to the console. At least it doesnt have a power brick the size of the x1 console. I rate kinect 9/10. You cant use features without kinect, which belong to the kinect, thats
    why we get one if you want the features. Xbox 1 is better with kinect.

    Like everyone said you probably won't need it ms went all out on cooling. The kinect has a little fan also. Even the power brick has vents for cooling.
