    I have my XBOX ONE set up in the living room and I am using the HDMI pass through with my cable box. I also have small kids and one of the things they do is flail their arms around needlessly. Which sets off the onscreen controls for stop/play and rewind.
    Which I can not control since the xbox is paying attention to my children and not their frantically screaming father yelling, "Xbox, stop listening!"

    I would like to know if there is a way to turn this off and if there isn't that it be considered for a future update.

    If you go to the settings app, there's an option under Kinect to turn off the Kinect, and even 1 specifically while watching TV or videos. kinect hand gestures on/off switch ;)

    It's better than the 360 version by far, but still feels clumsy.
