Kinect Gameplay with FaceCam

So I've seen a lot of youtube videos of gaming and reviews all with this in house face cam (your image is like in the lower left hand corner of screen) while playing the game ... Especially interested for Fighter Within so I can post online ....

how do I activate the face cam option with XBOX1????

Need help setting up a gameing studio.

Hi, I'm interested in putting together a sort of gaming studio where I would like to record my face for reactions to the gameplay, the game itself as I'm playing it, and all forms of audio in the game as well as my voice during the recording. Currently I
am unaware of the ability to record the gameplay and the facecam at the same time, such as a screen in screen, and I'm especially having a hard time of trying to record voice during capturing. In fact, the only way I know of recording any sort of audio is by
using the upload studio's editing.

I was curious if using a Kinect would allow any or all of these things to be possible as I have a 900gb sundisk SSD that I would love to use to hold hour long captures that could then be uploaded to youtube.

If it is possible to use a Kinect with the xbox one to make a miniature gaming studio, please let me know as the only other method I can think of is using third party hardware and a computer to link it all together. And that sounds
like a huge hassle over just using a Kinect for both the camera and mic.

I hope that the new update wouldn't kill the Kinect, but rather give new players who get an One without Kinect (for any reason) a chance to record their gameplay clips with ease also.

I hope to get one around the holidays but thought that recording gameplay would be nigh impossible without Kinect. Now with this new update, hopefully my experience with an Xbox One would be just as good as people with a Kinect.

 

The Upload Studio app. Also, just my opinion, but Fighter Within is 1 of the worst games ever made.

To my knowledge cant be done yet. You can add in picture in picture in upload studios to do it afterward. There is twitch streaming but only audio. But for live picture in picture, cant be done.

 

^^^Karch that sux I saw all the reviews with facecams !!! I wonder how they did it then ......this one of the reasons I bought the game... Hopefully Microsoft can do this functionality with an update .... :/

 

those are done AFTER the fact with upload studio during editing...

 

Yea, gotta love the DVR function but as *** said (and I before that) it was done afterward. Though on a side note, video quality on recorded drops a bit.

There's also a good way around this by opening Picture in Picture, then record w/kinect, start it recording then begin your game DVR recording on your game. When done sync them and you have a livecam.

Yes, DVR functionality does drop the video quality. Kinect runs at 1080p.

 

The DVR is a background process running on the X1. If you go to snap you can see what can be done. At most you can record at a five minute interval. However you can keep recording and edit the videos together in the Upload Studio. However doing the Five
video thing renders the picture in picture unable to be done...unless you edit the video you just created afterward. But as Duck said, the video quality does drop a bit for the actual video, not the kinect. Though if you send it over to the skydrive you can
edit it on your computer without the hassle of the system upload.

 

So I wonder with twitch will we be able to go this now ?????

All the other wAys is just way to much work why can't we just hit a picture in picture button and record our 30 secs of gameplay ????

 

Saw major Nelson's twitch tonight and he does it so I think it will be able to do it if you BROADCAST yourself .... ?

 

Yes, when broadcasting via the Twitch app, you can use the Kinect to put video of yourself in one of the four corners of the screen as you play. Here is Major Nelson using the Twitch app on Xbox One. He's also using the Xbox One Stereo Headset in this video,

I have a question along the lines of this question; I want to start streaming on twitch and do a facecam but I don't have a kinect. Is there anyway I can use a camera to do facecam instead? Please help!!!
