Kinect game chat

Discus and support Kinect game chat in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Apparently the new kinect sensor doesn't allow in game chat through its microphone.     Apparently the new kinect sensor doesn't allow in game chat through its microphone. My son has slight sensory issues and doesn't like using headsets. With the kinect sensor on the xbox 360 he was able to chat with gamers and friends through the kinect
    sensor. We just upgraded to the xbox one s and bought the kinect and the adapter to use with the xbox one s and apparently this function has been removed. This is beyond dissapointing!!!!!!!! Why would you remove functions from "upgraded" newer sensors?????
    Why remove the jack out of the back of the console? and force people to purchase a $40 adapter? beyond frustrating. I will be returning the sensor and the adapter.

    Kinect game chat

    Was watching a live stream of Ghosts on Twitch and the guy quit after one game.

    He had his headphones in. . and we the viewers could hear chat and game audio . . but his Kinect wasn't showing up in Ghosts. He connected his chat mic to the controller and then the viewers couldn't hear, and he had to remove his headphones so wasn't doing that. Couldn't figure out a way to sort it out so he quit.

    People were saying 'PREFERENCES!!!!!!' in the chat but he never went into it so maybe the option is in there somewhere - he was in Sound options and did have the Kinect Microphone box ticked.

    Ghosts doesn't support in game chat through the Kinect. Other games do (BF4 for example), but Ghosts does not. This is not an error with your Kinect device. You can switch to party chat and use the Kinect that way, but game chat is not supported with the
    Kinect in Ghosts. Hopefully they will have a patch of some sort to take care of this, at least until some viable headsets become available.

    Yes you can use your kinect for voice chat

    Go to settings>kinect then check if the use for game/voice chat is check marked if not check mark it then use it for game chat knowing how COD has many players in game chat

    with battlefield 4 you need to go into your settings and enable Kinect for chat. Ghosts MADE it so the Kinect would not be able to be used for in game chat thankfully. However, using your Kinect to chat in most shooters, people will mute you, due to the
    fact that the Kinect picks up ALL background noise, not just your voice.

    I think they should allow the chat party limit extended as well. And some games will disallow Kinect chat on game chat making it impossible to record in game chat.

    That's normal behavior of the volume. Because if you are in a party and unplug your mic it usually switches to Kinect to be used for chatting and so it lowers the game volume (not the overall volume!) to better get your voice and better understanding of
    the chat.

    This can be avoided if you choose not to use Kinect für chat in the Kinect settings.
