Kinect fraud!

I cannot believe I bought an Xbox 1s to get Kinect eventually so my daughter can play Harry Potter, and I can play 4K movies, we all can play halo. But I might as well throw it in the trash because I bought a connect yesterday and can’t even plug it in!
How is discontinuing a part (the Kinect adapter) that now sells for $100-$300 used online even a thought for the new Xbox 1 s owners let alone me a first time Xbox owner that is used to ps eye, ps vr, Wii U sensor bars come with all consoles now. Why can’t
I have one and why must I spent $300 to get one! Used even! And why can’t anybody give me an email to send you a message about it?

Dishonest? Yes. Fraud no. No one gains anything and no one losses anything other than MS, who if the OP's scenario is correct, is up one kinect to begin with. Without one party making a personal or financial gain and the other taking a loss, there is no
fraud by definition. In this scenario both the OP and MS would return to their status before the unit was sent in for repair. It would result in status quo for both parties, meaning there is no fraud by definition.

It helps keep fraud from happening like people just scanning the barcode

FYI if you have kinect you can just scan the barcode to input the code from the scratched off area

- A Kinect is an accessory, not a requirement for the Xbox.

- You can still play games on the Xbox

If you bought a kinect sensor yesterday, most retailers have a 15-30 return policy.

- The Kinect sensor and adapter are discontinued.

- Xbox Support does not have an email. You can contact them via phone or chat but they don't have any control over what hardware is available nor any option to sell you something that's no longer available

 

What Harry Potter game? As far as I know there are no Kinect Harry Potter games for the xbox one.

There was one for the xbox 360 but xbox 360 Kinect games wont work with the xbox one Kinect.

You don't need a Kinect for Halo or to watch 4k films.

As mentioned,if you only just bought the Kinect then return it to where you bought it for a refund.

It was announced last year that the Kinect was no longer being made & then a bit later that the adapter is no longer being made.

It also tells you that a adapter is needed to use Kinect on the xbox one s & x.

Not being funny but 5 minutes research would of told you all of this.
