Kinect for XBox One Shuts System Down

When I plug in my Kinect, it shuts the system down. I have used a new power source as well as a new Kinect and the unit shuts down as soon as I plug the Kinect into the back. Anyone have this problem>

Hey, thanks. It worked. FYI, I plugged in the Kinect console before I plugged the unit back in and turned it on. Happy kids around here, me included!

At what point would you plug in the Kinect unit? After the reset? As it shuts the unit off the second I plug it in, it's hard to know when the right time to connect it is...

Since this is happening with multiple kinect. Try a soft factory reset.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select System > Settings > System > Console info.
Select Reset console.

Then select reset and keep games and apps.

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely.
Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes.
Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.
