    I was wondering if anyone else had an issue with their Kinect suddenly not powering up after one of the last Xbox Preview Program updates? Also the Ability to Toggle your Tv power to the Xbox ones shut off and on doesn't work. I was told by Xbox support
    to post here and a Preview Program team member would respond with a solution.

    Oh, and it happens before, and after, the controller firmware update (which is hard to do with a controller that doesn't work right!).

    I'm not in the preview program, so don't get anything but public updates.

    Backwards compatible game not going past download profile

    It didn't work I think it's got something to do with the preview program due to the latest update I got on my Xbox one that was sent with me being in the preview program that is causing the issue... My roommate doesn't have an issue on his Xbox one with
    backwards compatible games and he isn't in the preview program

    This is what happens when software which is not ready for everyone, is used. Software is the key thing running your console. Everyone should be aware of the pros and cons of being in the Preview Program thingy.

    Why would support tell you to post a thread about this.... shouldn't they have tried to diagnose and fix the issue? Get a repair order in place or an exchange? Is the Kinect under warranty? Is your console under warranty, because if it is not I would highly
    rethink the Preview Program....

    It's pretty common for phone support to tell people to post in the forums when they don't know the answer. That way they can get rid of the person without having to say "I have no idea how to fix your problem".

    Mine does not switch on automatically. I unplugged mine and re plugged it in. To be honest I assumed it was a fault my end.

  10. They said that it needs to be serviced, which fine. But since it is out of warranty it would normally cost $69 to service. Because the preview program has a history of causing Kinect to stop working, it eliminates the end of the warranty and covers the Kinect
    even after it would normally be out of warranty. But apparently my account and Kinect haven't been updated with this "extended warranty" in Microsofts database, hence why they said to reach out the preview program team. I have tried to do so on the console
    preview dashboard as well as multiple forums and private messages on these forums and have yet to hear a response from them. This is very disappointing.

    Are you part of the Xbox Insider Preview program? Because using OSU on USB doesn't work for preview program builds.

    This still is a known problem with the preview program. To reconnect please unplugg your Kinect and reconnect to your router. Then please update your console manually to the newest dashboard version as the problem is fixed with the newest update meanwhile.
    To trigger the newest update please go to settings / system and hit update console in the left pane. After updating you should be able to replug the Kinect and connect to your router again.

    But as this is a preview program issue it's strongly recommended you post your issue there, if this is not fixing it at all. Please check out this thread: forums.xbox.com/.../1858421.aspx Thxs for your understanding.
