    Kinect device Not detected Voice deactivated


    Hi , I have a set of turtle beach 420X Wireless headphones

    Which are recognised and connected , but it wont enable voice in game or chat , due to the above message I get

    (Kinect device Not detected Voice deactivated)

    I don't even have Kinect so why it's disabling my mic I have no idea as they used to work perfect until a few console updates down the line

    I've even reset my console back to the original settings and still no luck

    any idea's or help would be great

    Iomega external device not detected

    Hey guys,

    I have a xbox 360 and have got an external hard drive (500gb) from Iomega with all my music on it. Of course i want to play the music in my xbox 360. I know that it is compatible because i tried it with the xbox of a friend. Only mine is not working. Do
    you know any thing for troubleshooting? And other ways to play music on the xbox (without media center). Thank you.

    Is Kinect dead?

    You don't need Kinect for voice commands. Voice commands worked just fine in Tom Clancy's End War without the need for Kinect. There are also professional grade microphones that sell for cheaper than the Kinect. The device never should have been the mandatory
    option for voice commands. The mic really does underperform and ironically, Microsoft hasn't even released the microphone specs. If you bought a motion device that costs over 100.00 to use for voice commands much old the time, you have pretty much been had.

    I didn't realize how much kinect would change me. And make me look stupid at work

    So the voice detection is better with the Xbox One version of Kinect?

    I was using gen one on my 360 and it'd only actually understand me about 70% of the time.

    Netflix and Hulu voice commands not working.

    I am having the same issue as well, and it started roughly a week ago too. I have tried recalibrating the Kinect voice detection with no luck. Voice command does seem to work as normal outside of the Netflix app. Any insight would be much appreciated.

    Xbox One Own't Allow Me To "Turn Off" Console Via Kinect Command

    I have the same problem where it wont respond to the yes or no voice command in xbox turn off menu. It is detecting sound when saying yes or no but kinect just wont recognize it. It does seem to work after a hard reset but that defeats the purpose of using
    voice to turn it off. lol.

    Also the kinect device HAS to be able to detect the floor upon setup. I live in a small apt dwelling with shared space so it's not overly convenient for me to place the device far enough away how wants it. I thought the fact that the kinect has a wider viewing
    lens resolved this issue.
