Kinect & Controller Issues.

Hi everyone,

I'm currently experiencing a lot of issues with my Xbox One. I have recently been playing Fifa 14 and I wanted to go to settings to disable game talk via Kinect, and my Kinect wouldn't listen to me at all. After the game had finished, I pressed my Xbox button
on my controller as usual and it brought my home up perfectly fine, I went into settings and disabled talking through Kinect in game. I then synced my Kinect again by raising my TV volume etc, and I thought it would be fine, but still, it has no sense of me
speaking. It doesn't even respond when I'm consistently saying "Xbox" nevermind anything else, like go to settings, or snap Twitch etc. So, I went to go home again, and my Xbox button turned useless. I was unable to hold it in to turn off my xbox, when I singularly
pressed it I couldn't even go home. All it would do, is disconnect my controller. I tried it with the play and charge kit wire in, and without and still I've had no luck.

I'm currently opted into the beta update programme, but as of right now I think this latest update is an update which everyone is on as of yet. I would love some help on this issue. Have I got a faulty Xbox? It's a Day One edition and it's been fine until
now.

I don't have a Kinect. Just the Xbox & controller

 

Possible controller for KInect.

Why would Kinect need a controller, when it has an accompanying Xbox360 Controller & also uses Voice + Hand commands etc..

 

I seem to have solved it!

With having my Xbox One on "Instant On" boot up settings, while shutting down my xbox, and turning it back on again my Kinect & Controller functions didn't boot up properly. I switched to "Energy Saving", turned my Xbox One off, and booted back up and everything
works perfectly.

I suggest people switch to "Energy Saving" rather than "Instant On" since this isn't the first time problems have occurred because of this. Hope this helps!
