    If you want Kinect Features, that's why you get a Kinect. Voice Commands is a Kinect Feature, Kinect Privelage. Next people will be asking "can we play Kinect Sports Rivals without Kinect".

    Kinect is not a "compulsary" peripheral.



    It's actually a part of your XBox ONE.

    So yea this news has made me lean back towards X1 although as mentioned above lose the compulsory Kinect and it's a guarantee buy for me.

    Anyone else creeped out?

    Yeah, the compulsory kinect requirement has made my decision pretty simple. PS4 all the way. If someday they release one that doesn’t have a kinect, or if third party circumventions manage to disable and remove the kinect apparatus entirely from the xbox
    one, perhaps then I’ll consider buying one.

    Pretty sure if u designate YOUR profile as HOME, and dont designate theirs at all as anything, they can sign in on their own and use ur games. Disconnecting kinect may help, but is not compulsory...
