    Kinect Complain

So I have become so annoyed by the kinect I have disconnected it already. My problems I guess only affects a small percentage of xbox owners but I will throw it out there anyways. So I was enjoying the kinect experience pretty good until I added my 3 bros
profiles. Apparently we all must look identical because the kinect never signs the right user. Even when I'm the only one in the room kinect logs me out and connects me my bros account. This is annoying as I have to log in again. The worst scenario is when
I'm playing a game and kinect confuses me in the middle of the game and reads a message saying something about new user recognized returning to title screen (not the exact words) and it fustrates me so bad ah. Anyways anybody have any tips on how to resolve
this? I actually don't even notice the kinect off since the controller is faster than talking or using my hand.

    :)

  2. Kinect is failing.

^ Correct. People need to understand that the Kinect is not going to be for everyone. Whether the Kinect has 100 Kinect-only games or whether the Kinect works 100% of the time, the thing is people will still complain. People would
still complain if Microsoft priced the Xbox One, and bundled the Kinect free.

Go into Kinect settings and just make sure it has you connected to your account. It is possible it connected your brothers' and you to the wrong accounts.

Saying using the controller is faster than talking is like saying taking the stairs is faster than dropping through a hole in the floor. To get from a game to Netflix for example. I have to hit the Xbox button, scroll over to my games and apps, select apps,
scroll over to Netflix, and then select it. Doesn't take that long. But when you compare it to saying "Xbox go to Netflix" it's pretty damn long. Other than that, your problem sounds annoying. Sucks to be you.

  6. I have the same issue because I share the Xbox One with my twin brother. This makes it interesting because every once in a while, it will sign him in if, for example, I lean forward on the back couch despite the fact that nobody has entered the room. I have
to sign him out at least once a day as a result. Furthermore, it rarely seems to want to sign him in when he actually enters the room, only when he leaves it.

I've come to learn that it's an apparent distance issue for us. When I sit back on the couch, the Kinect sensor can no longer see me (although I can still see myself in the Kinect settings). When I lean forward, I immediately come back into it's viewing
area - this is what prompts it to sign in either myself or sometimes, my brother instead. When he enters the room, he does so from the side, and turns his back to the sensor to sit on said couch, hence why it doesn't recognize him upon entering. It's only
when he gets up and moves forward that it sees his actual face and signs him in, which again, always leaves me having to sign him out. I'm considering moving the couch forward, but I don't know if my family would appreciate that. In any case, I often set a
chair up closer to the TV or sit on the couch's foot-stool/chest combo that we keep nearby.

Despite the above issues, it's incredibly rare that I have a game or app quit my game or app and return me to the title screen. It's happened a couple of times yes, but not for some time. I have reason to believe this was fixed with part of the preview update
(although you shouldn't hold me to that as I don't have any real proof) or is simply something that varies from developer to developer (if that's the case, you might want to report the issue to them). Otherwise, I would also suggest checking out the support
    forums here on this site.

In any case, another way you can resolve this is to sign in manually by using voice commands instead (which you can find under settings). It literally takes 1 second longer, but can be circumvented by turning on the console and signing yourself in BEFORE
you ever enter the room. This of course, can help you avoid all of the annoying issues that you and I have both mentioned. I hope this helps, akatsuki. Kinect Complain ;)

Yup well voice commands are a bit frustrating some times kinect understands other times I waste minutes and I think the kinect actually gives up too lol, it doesn't even respond when I say xbox home. Swordstyle, you probably already know this but if you
pin netflix all you have to do is hit home on controller then its on the left pane. Ill give it a try again maybe it is the distance.
