    Kinect Blocking Connection to Internet


    For about a week I couldn't sign into my account or get internet access. I unplugged my kinect and now I have no issues. Before I was getting 0x87DD000F and my IP was changed to 169. I did a hard reset and even restored to default settings with no luck.
    Is there a reason the Kinect is blocking the internet?

    Yep tried that still doesn't work. Connection to Internet is fine just have this update blocking it?

    Super odd that the Kinect sensor is causing that trouble. Do you possibly have a friend with an Xbox One you can test your Kinect sensor with to see if you have the same problem?

    Surely all the people who are complaining about Kinect are also the ones who are complaining about Xbox needing to be online.

    If they don't have their Xbox's connected to the internet, then where is the Privacy concern.

    also if you can't figure out a way to manually block kinect to whatever degree you want while still having it plugged in then your a complete moron

    Do the laptop thing. A lot of university setups don't allow for things such as video game consoles, but using a laptop to bridge the connection is the most common fix.

    I don't know the steps or methods on it myself.
