Kinect - Audio Receiver Not Powering On / Off

Ever since the latest update, my kinect refuses to power on or off my audio receiver. i can still control the volume it just will not power the device on or off. ive tried everything i can think of, even reset everything in the settings and put the kinect
right in front of the device to see if it would work with no luck.

has anybody else had an issue like this? nothing major just annoying after all this time not having to use 2 remotes

Console Inconsistently Powering Off Soundbar

I'm having issues with my console not consistently powering off my sound bar. I have a Samsung soundbar (HW-E350) and a 48" Samsung smart TV (5201 series). My kinect is mounted directly on top of my TV with no obstructions to either the TV, console, soundbar,
or the kinect itself. The soundbar sits directly below my TV screen. I just recently upgraded to this TV from a smaller 32" Samsung. I had the 32" for a couple years before upgrading. It seems as though this issue has surfaced once I got the new TV. The power-up
settings on my console are set to turn the TV on and toggle the audio receiver when the xbox turns on. When the xbox turns off it's set to turn off my TV and toggle the audio receiver. I have no problems with powering any of it on. Everything boots up simultaneously.
But about once every 3-4 times I shut down the console the soundbar will remain on while the xbox and TV are successful at powering off. I then have to turn off the sound bar individually. I also made sure to have the Anynet setting on my TV disabled so it
wouldn't interfere with anything. I'm not sure why it's been so inconsistent lately. Any tips?

As a follow-up it seems like the Kinect is not even sending an IR power signal to the audio receiver. I placed the Kinect right next to the receiver to see if this was an issue of the signal not reaching. That does not seem to be the issue.

Check to see if the Kinect is off if it is then turn on the Xbox by the power button on the console. Then go into settings go to Kinect settings check the box if it's unchecked to turn it back on. Then go too the box were it says Kinect did not hear me and
it will do and audio check.

its under the Kinect>? at least for the power setting part... not sure... I am at work.... but I know the 3 options are XBOX OFF turn off Kinect, Turns off Kinect & TV Turns off Kinect TV and Receiver .. XBOX ON turns on etc etc etc

Figured out the issues, but not sure how to solve the problem:

The Xbox and Kinect are in a cabinet, So when I close the cabinet, even though the Xbox and kinect can hear me and power on/off the xbox the tv and soundbar still don't power on. Even if I shut off the kinect and close the cabinet and use the controller
the TV and soundbar still won't power on. However, when the cabinet is open the Xbox is fully functional, when it is closed the xbox is still functional with voice commands and the xbox controller, the TV and audio just don't power on/off.
