Kinect and TV not recognized anymore

As of the latest update (sept 16) my Kinect no longer powers up nor does my Xbox turn my TV on or off.

I've rebooted, unplugged and power cycled with nothing working. I've removed my TV from the setup screen and when I went to re-input it, I got a screen asking if I had a Kinect and if not, to plug in IR cables. My TV is a Phillips 42"

Any one have any Ideas on what to do?

TV not being recognized anymore

So when I try to set up my TV as a device, it does not recognize my TV and when I enter it manually, it still does not work.

Xbox no longer turns on/off TV/Audio and the Kinect no longer powers on.

Hi there,

that the TV and Audio aren't powered on or off, is likely caused due to the Kinect Sensor not working, since the Kinect can send the signals to do those actions.

Please try these trouble shooting steps to see if you can get the Kinect to power up again:

support.xbox.com/.../kinect-sensor-not-recognized-by-console if those fail then the Kinect sensor needs replacement, see the steps on that same link on how to do that.

Update 9/19/16. I fixed it. In case this is happening with anyone else, there's a few steps to take, but it works.

For some reason the Kinect's power seems to be tied with my TV. My TV was not recognized so I got a command to plug in IR cables because there was no Kinect. the next step allowed me to send "mute" commands to my TV. After 4 or 5 different tries, it still
didn't mute, so I was allowed to input my model # manually. Once that was accepted the lights on the Kinect kit up and commands to the TV all work fine

If none of the solutions you find here: https://support.xbox.com/en-ZA/xbox-one/console/tv-or-monitor-screen-is-blank-while-connected
resolved the problem, your console may need to be serviced. Go to
Device Support to submit a repair request:

After you've signed in with your Microsoft account, select Problem with a device.
Under For which device? select your Xbox One console or register it.
Select Display Issue and select Next.
On the next page, explain the issue in the Describe your problem field.
Beside Based on the problem described, we need to create a service order to replace your device, click
Next.
Follow the steps to complete your service order.

Not that I know of, I tried a few times it never worked. Kinect for some reason is not capable of recognizing NBA TV, or NFL Channel.

I found that HDMI 2 is the port that allows the xbox to actually see 4K as an output. Its funny because, if I enable UHD on the tv the xbox doesnt recognize 4k anymore
