Kinect and Kinect-less and the infamous 10%

Ok, I am putting this out here for informative purposes, although this has already been discussed in the forums. But I literally just had a "Day One" user in the Xbox One Support Forums ask if unplugging the Kinect
gives the Xbox One 10% more power. I can not believe this is still in question.

For those of you out there, who may not know, unplugging the Kinect
DOES NOT give you 10% more power. And the Kinect-less Xbox One IS NOT
10% more powerful. This was a "Fabrication" by the media to create controversy. And it is still circulating despite Xbox, Phil Spencer, as well as Major Nelson addressing this. Here is

Xbox One + Titan Fall £364.95

They may remove Kinect and sell the Xbone for £350, but my console was effectively less the £350 and I got Kinect. So if you're happy to pay £300-£350 without Kinect. I was very happy to pay £300ish with Kinect.

An if they release a Kinect less bundle I will EbaY my Kinect. As I imagine stand alone Kinect will be around £100, the original was £129.

 

Might as well bang your head on the wall NxtDoc1851, it's the same as the so called EA Access exclusive we have lol, I have seen that everywhere too.

 

^^Not really sure what you mean. EA Access is an exclusive to Xbox One. Its not offered anywhere else. Not Sony, not steam not origin. Hell even on the dashboard it says Xbox Exclusive for the app so not sure how you determine its not exclusive. By your
logic Sunset Overdrive isnt exclusive either since Insomniac offered to make the game for PS first.

@Doc yeah most people know this. But then some people live under rocks and get second hand info instead of properly researching for themselves

 

I hear ya 24hrs. I recall this subject getting quite the attention back in like May or June in here. But I seen that question from a Day One user and was just blown away. I hope this helps the community stay informed.

 

I think it's a creation from last gens tech. The kinect lagged my 360 a lot. I ended up unplugging it until I wanted to use it for something. I think this is where people are getting this misinformation from.

 

Also could be from what 24hrs said... 2nd hand information.

 

I had no or rather no noticeable lag when using Kinect on 360. Maybe because I had the Slim version. I kept it plugged in 24/7.

 

Mine currently is plugged in as well and I haven't noticed. I have the 360 E
