    The Kinect was a new technology shared with the Xbox Community. We purchased the Kinect and found a whole new way to play.

    Whether it was purchasing games or exercise programs. We absolutely knew Microsoft was going to make this a Great device. So to see Microsoft push this technology and not honor their commitment to those whom spent Hundreds of dollars to support the R&D
    on this product. Gives me Pause!

    I don't work for Microsoft so I couldn't do anything. Forum support would not be able to provide a discount on an adapter.

    The kinect was a big push on the initial release of the first Xbox One but do to the lack of popularity, they discontinued the integration into later Xbox One consoles as well as the adapter.

    It may give you pause but its where technology goes when no one is interested in it...to the wayside. Every other company does the same thing.

    I have the same setup as you and with the current kinect i have a USB extension cable. It connects to the adaptor that Kinect comes with. It works well. I hope they include the USB adaptor with the new Kinect so my extension cable works. Its a good question
    tho. The adaptor was for older xboxes to connect to it, but I hope they have a solution.

    I think it's absolutely shocking Microsoft are not supplying XBOX ONE to XBOX ONE X gamers a free kinect adaptor, its disgrace borderline criminal.

    MICROSOFT FORCED EARLY ADAPTORS TO GET THE KINECT - its not the consumers fault the kinect failed so WHY are we being penalised.
