Kinect Adaptor for Xbox One S & X (A possible workaround)

Hi guys

So Microsoft have now discontinued Xbox One Kinect adapters which is a major pain... really unfortunate. I don't know if this a possible workaround but it might be worth a shot? I came across a Youtube video tutorial on how to create a power supply for the
12 volts your kinect would need to work on your PC, S or X. While searching the web I found a a 12 volt Xbox 360 Kinect adapter to use your 360 Kinect on PC. The power supply is 12 volts, it has a USB and a USB opening for another USB to fit into it.

At the back of the Xbox One Kinect you can remove the cord at the back revealing a USB fitting (it does come out, it just take a lot of wiggling and pulling power), above that is the 12 volts opening. SO we know the Xbox One Kinect would need 12 volts of
power with a USB. If one removes the cord from the xbox one Kinect, Plug a USB 3.0 to USB wire from your Xbox One X or S into the fitting and plug the USB where the 12 volts goes into the kinect itself could that possible get it working? There is a possible
downside as there would be nothing to plug into the 12 volts but maybe.... just maybe the USB through the 12 volt adapter connected would provide the power to get it working. I have provided pictures below to give you guys an idea.

I am going to possibly try it but anyone reading this, if you have one, try it and let us know.

Hi Microsoft. When will you make and subsequently sell some more Kinect Adaptors for Xbox one S and X. I am beginning to regret buying an Xbox one X as I can not get an adaptor for my kinect.

just want to say if you got the skills and go to youtube there are video's on there, showing you how you can make up an adapter yourself. If I had seen this video's before I would have followed them rather than spend £119
for the adapter. The parts are readily available.

You need a 12v 1..5a powersupply

a USB 3.0 A to B

a female power socket for the male adapter

Soldering skills

Yeah I saw the video. I am going to give that a try if all else fails at this point.
