    Purchased an xbox one s and Kinect for Christmas. Only to find out afterwards that I need an adaptor that I have not been able to locate anywhere. Heard today that Microsoft was discontinuing the adaptors. How am I supposed to play the games purchased and
    I cant return them now. What solution does Microsoft have?

    I don't work for Microsoft so I couldn't do anything. Forum support would not be able to provide a discount on an adapter.

    You're going to have to find an adapter online from a third-party seller (Amazon, eBay), or buy an original Xbox One console if you want to play the Kinect games.

    There's no "solutions" remaining from Microsoft, because they've officially discontinued the adapter.

    I have the same setup as you and with the current kinect i have a USB extension cable. It connects to the adaptor that Kinect comes with. It works well. I hope they include the USB adaptor with the new Kinect so my extension cable works. Its a good question
    tho. The adaptor was for older xboxes to connect to it, but I hope they have a solution.

    I think it's absolutely shocking Microsoft are not supplying XBOX ONE to XBOX ONE X gamers a free kinect adaptor, its disgrace borderline criminal.

    MICROSOFT FORCED EARLY ADAPTORS TO GET THE KINECT - its not the consumers fault the kinect failed so WHY are we being penalised.
