Kinect Adapter

Over the holidays, I upgraded my Xbox One to the S and was told that I could purchase the Kinect Adapter. My young children have enjoyed every year of Just Dance and were looking forward to this year. You can use your smartphone as a movement sensor
but did not want my kids swinging my phone to the game. The Microsoft store manager told me that the adapter was discontinued and I see that it is the case on previous posts.

I find it regrettable that Microsoft did not anticipate the need for adapters for the Xbox One S/X, particularly with the holiday buying surge. Now, it seems that my only recourse is to either purchase the Xbox console that I traded in or pay $200-300
for an adapter that previously was $30. I hope that Microsoft understands the demand for Kinect adapters and either reopens production or provide another means of Kinect device alteration.

I also looking for an adapter to my new X and got this information from the support just now:

"I really appreciate your interest with the Kinect accessory, however we have stopped manufacturing the item and we will continue on forward with the mindset of fulfilling the likings of our customer that is why our software team is working and finding a
new software program we can replace it with."

Our option for you Mattias, is to look for retail stores near your place if they are still selling Kinect adapters and that includes online 3rd party stores as well such as Amazon.
