    Kinect Adapter


    We purchased the xbox one x for Xmas and want to use our kinect on it. Hoping you will be manufacturing the adapters for this again. The xbox was very expensive and it is unfair that the adapters (and kinect sensors) are not still available. We also purhased
    the Just Dance 2018 game but will be unable to use it on the new xbox one x! This makes no sense at all. In order to get an adapter at this point the only options are third party (which a microsoft representative told me) and these range from $200.00 to $400.00!
    This is ridiculous and I am very disappointed as are my children. Hoping production will start again soon as that is the appropriate and fair thing to do.

    I agree. I had no idea when I upgraded to the One X I wouldn't be able to use the Kinect any more. I actually like the kinect and use if quite a bit with Plex and Netflix if nothing else.

    The adapter isn't available in most stores, and where it is available the price has been jacked up to insane levels. Considering how much the new One X cost I really shouldn't be expected to pay more to continue using Kinect.

    Ive just been on live chat and the phone with customer service and they confirmed to me there are no more adapters coming! So looks like we either pay £110 (cheapest ive seen) or no kinect

    Yeah that's just bad business and not acceptable at all. I've been supporting the Xbox product line since the original. I have a Kinect on the 360 and the original Xbox One and feel like I wasted my money upgrading to the One X now.

    There is a Kinect adapter you would need in order to use the Kinect. Unfortunately both the adapter and the Kinect have been discontinued so you would have to try checking places like ebay for the adapter.

    Kinect Support for XBox One X

    The Kinect will work on the Xbox One X. It just needs the adapter. Assuming it's the right adapter, then it should work fine with Kinect games and voice commands.

    The Kinect is definitely not built into the Xbox One S or X. That saleman was misinformed.

    It is possible to use all Xbox One consoles without connecting a Kinect Camera so no adapter would be required. However if you intend to use a Kinect camera with the Xbox One S then you will require an adapter please see details about the adapter below.
