    Kinect adapter


    hi, i just got an xbox one x, and i’m not able to use my xbox one kinect games and all kinect related functionalities. I bought the new console on the assumption that the adapter would be availlable, and i can’t find it anywhere now!

    I feel riped off and seriously considering selling the console and finaly switching for PS4.

    Where can i find an adapter for kinect?

    Kinect adapter

    In an online chat with the Xbox support team yesterday, I was told that they have commissioned manufacture of more of the adapters.

    He said, in no uncertain terms, that they will definitely have them available again at the Microsoft Store online. He was not able, however, to say if it would be before or after Christmas. I'm still not convinced, I hate to say it, but it's a glimmer
    of hope.

    hey zemo, I’ve had the same thing I brought a Kinect with some games and no adapter. All the said was you have to buy one which are around £119 pound which is a rip off and false advertising. It never mentioned about needing an adapter and now my son is
    without a Christmas present

    Yeah that's just bad business and not acceptable at all. I've been supporting the Xbox product line since the original. I have a Kinect on the 360 and the original Xbox One and feel like I wasted my money upgrading to the One X now.

    There is a Kinect adapter you would need in order to use the Kinect. Unfortunately both the adapter and the Kinect have been discontinued so you would have to try checking places like ebay for the adapter.

    The Kinect will work on the Xbox One X. It just needs the adapter. Assuming it's the right adapter, then it should work fine with Kinect games and voice commands.

    The Kinect is definitely not built into the Xbox One S or X. That saleman was misinformed.

    It is possible to use all Xbox One consoles without connecting a Kinect Camera so no adapter would be required. However if you intend to use a Kinect camera with the Xbox One S then you will require an adapter please see details about the adapter below.
