It seems like nobody is interested in kinect anymore. I am here from US and i just got my Xbox one x. But i can't use my Kinect because their adapter is out of stock. Microsoft when are you going to make the adapter again? I really need to play my Kinect
games to stay fit. Please Microsoft do something about it.

 

I just got an Xbox x and I want to use my kinect but you (Microsoft) discontinued the adapter and cancelled the free adaptor program. Should I go on eBay and pay $150 for an adaptor? Is this how you (Microsoft) treat a loyal customer? Thanks

 

We are in the same boat. My daughter asked santa for Just Dance ... she's 7, so no smartphone... and the point of kinect is to not have to hold a controller.

 

Same here, kids love just dance, and no Kinect adapters available anywhere. This really sucks, may end up returning the one x and go with somethi my else. As of now I'm stuck with a one and a one x both hooked up...complete bs

 

Remember that time when Micosoft said that Kinect was an integral part of the xbox and wouldn't be sold separately?

I do and I purchased the Xbox one day one edition even buying a second one later on so my son could play one too.

I was never one to use it games more as a decent camera and microphone for Twitch and Mixer and also the "Xbox on" "Capture that" voice activated aspect of it.

Being a loyal Xbox customer I was super stoked when the Xbox S and Xbox X was announced at E3 in 2016 the only reason I didn't buy an S was because I decided to hold out on the Xbox X, which I pre-ordered as soon as I was able too.

When the S came out I noticed that Microsoft were offering a free adapter to people who were upgrading from the original Xbox one. I thought this was a great idea and expected then to offer this to those upgrading to the X.

When the Xbox X came out and I got my pre-ordered Scorpio Edition in my grubby little hands and noticed there was no place to connect the kinect I checked on the store to see if they were offering a free adapter to those who upgraded to the X. I was told
they were not this offer anymore and I could get one for £40. I was a little annoyed that after spending nearly £450 on a new console I'd have to fork out on an adapter too. However as I still used the Kinect I thought I'd order one. The problem was it turned
out they were sold out everywhere I looked. So not being able to buy one I thought I'd hold out until they were back in stock.

When I found out yesterday that they had actually stopped making the adapter completley I again looked in the Microsoft store and they were sold out. I then checked on Amazion and Ebay where they were going for £150+ which I was never going to pay money
for.

I feel cheated, mislead, disappointed and have lost my faith in the brand. Having been a loyal customer and having spent quite a few thousand pounds on hardware and games over the years I feel a free adapter to those who upgraded isn't too much to offer
or at least being prepared for those wnating to upgrade and actually having them in stock when the Xbox one x launched.

I hope Microsoft can come up with a solution to this for myself and all the other loyal customers who have been affected by this and left with a sour taste in their mouth.

 

I agree with you all...the fact that Microsoft says that it has discontinued making the adapter spells no more customer of Microsoft here....I talked to Microsoft support and they assured me that they will be producing more as there are a lot of folks like
us out there with a kinect and games but no way to use. Also I purchased this as a gift for x-mas and of course I can no longer return the kinect, games or the xbox one s. If Microsoft does not make more of these adapters, they have lost a customer for life!!!
