Kinect adapter to use wireless microphone.

I really don't want to post on here but since customer service couldn't help or give me an email to write directly I am forced to write this on a public forum. I am beyond frustrated with Microsoft. My sons Xbox one stopped reading discs (apparently known
for this) it was in exceptional condition and taken really good care of since he is super ocd with his belongings. My son has Autism with sensory issues and cannot wear headphones/microphone. Since his xbox wasn't reading any discs we had to trade it in and
got the xbox one s. We discovered that in order for him to use the kinect to talk on xbox live you need a special adapter that Microsoft no longer makes as a result the adapter is hard to find and outrageous in price if you do find it. Hence my frustration...
my son has to do without because of his disabilities and Microsoft has failed him and others like him by not giving another alternative for a wirless microphone when they discontinued the adapter. Shame on you!

What's the differences between the Xbox One S and the Xbox One

You will need an adapter to use a Kinect.
No controllers do not have built in Microphones.
No the console does not have a built in Microphone.

Researching to buy new headset please help!

I use the wireless TB X42s - they're wireless, have actual 5.1 surround sound built in the ear-cups, and plug into the TV, so you don't have to worry about buying the chat adapter if you don't mind muting your TV and using the Kinect (all of the sound will
come into your headset and you can freely talk to your friends via the sensor without any nasty feedback), which is what I do. Alternatively, you can also buy the chat adapter and actually use the detachable microphone that connects to the controller via a
wire if you don't like the idea of using the Kinect.

 

Unfortunately you are not alone, and since both the cable and kinect are no longer officially available your only course of action would be to check on 3rd party sites (and yes they are extremely expensive).

Another possible solution would be to set up a second controller that you have a mic setup on it, and try that way, depending on the mic, you may even be able to set one up thats not near him, depending on the mic sensitivity.
