Kinect Adapter for Xbox One X

Hi - i'd just like a straight answer.

Recently I upgraded to the Xbox One X - I didn't realise that the kinect port removed. No problem - i'll just get the adapter. However the MS Store has zero stock and people on Ebay are selling them for up to $300 each! (for something listed at $55 on the
MS store.)

Will this become available again via the Store (and general retailers) or have MS stopped making these altogether? I can understand that MS are moving away from the kinect - no dramas from me, just give me a heads up if i need to try and grab one now or
hold out till stock comes back in?

For both the Xbox One S and Xbox One X, a Kinect adapter is required in order to link them up. For more information feel free to visit our Kinect Adapter
Info page. Unfortunately, the adapter itself is no longer manufactured so you might have a hard time finding one.

 

As far as I know the Kinect adapter for the Xbox One S and One X has been discontinued along with the Kinect sensor..

I did know that the One X lacked the kinect port when I preordered my One X.. but sadly I wrongly assumed that the adapter would be awailable after the release of the One X despite the termiation of the kinect sensor and decided to wait and see if M$ would
give those of us that upgraded the same deal as the ones who upgraded to the One S.. but right now the adapter is only awailable for EBay an similar sites at what I call "blackmail" prices.. so unless M$ has a change og heart we seem to be stuck up a certain
creek without a paddle :-(

Exactly, It's amazing that a company lures you in by selling you a product and tells you this extra device is essential to the experience and then abandons you by not only discontinuing the product but also the adapter to get existing use out of the product.
If you're not going to make the adapter, at least give the specs to a 3rd party vendor so they can continue to make the adapters. How are existing xbox owners going to control their tv/entertainment, one of the biggest selling features at launch? I could understand
if you offered an alternative solution like a Cortana speaker or something to control your xbox but you don't and you even sell a Cortana speaker. This kind of disregard to your loyal customers is what cause you to lose customers to other vendors and at worst
leads to class action lawsuits.

Please answer 2 questions: 1. will you allow 3rd party vendors to make adapters to connect user's Kinect devices and 2. Will you have alternative solutions for controlling your xbox with voice controls?
