Kinect Adapter for Xbox One S

So I upgraded to a new Xbox One S 1TB from the original Xbox One 500GB Day One console I purchased when it was first released for the hefty price of $500 (only to watch the price be slashed not long after). As we know, the Kinect will not work with the new
S-model consoles out of the box. I heard that there was an adapter to resolve this and that Microsoft was offering this free of charge to customers who like myself upgraded from the original model to the new S-model. However when I called Microsoft customer
support to inquire about this, I was informed that the promotion for the adapter had just recently ended. When I requested to speak to a supervisor on this with the first representative, I was soon conveniently disconnected. I called back and explained the
situation to another representative and after being put on hold was told that the adapter was no longer in their system so there was nothing they could do. The representative then recommended me to this forum, where a Microsoft associate may be able to assist.

This doesn't seem like proper treatment for a long standing customer who has purchased several of your consoles and supported you right from the start, for a customer that's been an XBL Gold member for well over a decade and purchased hundreds of games you
would think it would be taken into consideration and not asked that you spend more money for something they were only just giving away days ago. So can someone here help me with this?

For users upgrading from original Xbox One to Xbox One S

For a limited time, the Kinect Adapter will be available for free to customers who have an existing Xbox One console, an Xbox One Kinect Sensor, and an Xbox One S console. You will need the serial number for all three devices to get the free Xbox Kinect
Adapter. To request your free Kinect Adapter, contact Xbox Support.

To save time, we recommend that you make sure your Xbox One S console, original Xbox One console, and Xbox One Kinect Sensor are registered to your Microsoft account. Go to Device Support to register your devices.

For users new to Xbox One S

Customers who have just purchased a Kinect sensor to use with their Xbox One S console can buy the adapter from the Microsoft Store or other participating retailers

The free Xbox One S Kinect Adapter program has recently ended, and there isn't a way for anyone on the Xbox Forums to bypass that to extend the program. The Xbox One S Kinect Adapter is available to purchase through the Microsoft Store page.
