Kinect Adapter ($40!?!)

$40 for an ADAPTER to make your product (Kinect) work with another one of your products (Xbox ONE S) is a little absurd. I am interested in both the Xbox ONE S and the Kinect (as are two of my brothers) and we would like to also buy them. To pay an additional
$120 between the 3 of us to make the Kinect work with the XBox is frustrating and makes me think twice about buying 3 Xbox S's. I know you are offering the adapter free for previous Kinect owners, but why wouldn't you also want to incentivize potential NEW
customers who are still trying to commit between a variety of consoles? Don't just keep old customers. Win new ones!

why would not make the kinect port. I'm not trying to spend 40 dallors on a adapter. Might be time try ps4 pro out.

I'm not going to buy an adapter for 40 Euros!!! that should be free for all customers upgrading from One with Kinect to One S!!!

This seems so backwards compared to last gen where the kinect, if purchases separately, came with the adapter if you wanted to use it with a non-slim system, now we have a slim system that doesn't support it and requires an adapter yet the old one has the
dedicated kinect port. I really hope they just include the adapter in the box at some point and keep the price the same, if not make it cheaper because ever since it's been sold separately it's been way too expensive for many people.

You can look at Ebay or buy a used XBOX One with Kinect or Kinect Solo with the Adapter. I have get one for 40 Dollars and sell the Kinect

Yes, the Xbox One S and X console models does not have the dedicated Kinect port anymore, and needs an Adapter to connect Kinect to a standard USB connector.

The problem is, that Microsoft stopped making Kinect and the Adapter.

So the only way to get the Adapter nowadays is to try getting it used on eBay or garage sales and the likes.

However since the Adapters are now in high demand with limited quantities, a lot of eBay sellers basically demand an arm and a leg for an adapter that sold new for about 40 US$ originally.

The only thing we can do is wishing you good luck in finding such an adapter for a suitable price.

I also want to use the Kinect V2 on an XBOX ONE X.

Unfortunately, even at 40 €, the kinect adapter is out of order.

Impossible to get it.

Second-hand sales sites offer them at very high prices from € 100 to over € 300.

Microsoft, have you thought of those who want to join XBOX One to One X and who could not take advantage of the adapter cable given to One S buyers ?

Is Microsoft promoting the sale of this adapter to the black market at shameful prices ?
